About Nuremberg Christmas Market Tour
This site is an independent guide to the Nuremberg Christmas market and a comparison of the Christmas tours you can book in Nuremberg: guided market walks with tastings, food tours, private tours, a castle tour with Lebkuchen, an Advent concert, a day trip from Munich and a market photo shoot. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours. The full line-up sits in the Nuremberg Christmas market catalog.
Why It Exists
The Christkindlesmarkt is free, so the question is never the ticket. It is which evening, which of the side markets, and whether a tour is worth paying for. The side markets keep their own calendars: the Market of the Sister Cities closes on 23 December, the main market at 14:00 on 24 December, the Children's Christmas on 30 December. The tour listings rarely say which stalls they stop at or what is tasted on the way.
Those are the columns of the comparison here, read off each listing and the city's own market notice.
Where the Figures Come From
Tour prices, ratings, review counts and inclusions come from the listing on the platform that sells each tour. Market dates and opening hours come from the City of Nuremberg's market notice and the official Christkindlesmarkt site. Transport fares come from VGN and VAG, castle tickets from the Bavarian Palace Administration, and exchange rates from the European Central Bank.
When two sources disagree, the page gives the official one or leaves the figure out.
What You Will Not Find
There is no invented guide or local expert behind these pages, and no claim that anyone from the site joined a tour. Reviews shown are short excerpts from four and five star platform reviews. Prices at the market stalls and the mug deposit are not printed, because no official list exists and each stall posts its own.
How the Site Is Paid For
The booking buttons are affiliate links to GetYourGuide and Viator, and the hotel links go through Stay22. If you book through one, the platform pays a commission and your price does not change. No operator pays for a place, a badge or the pick.
The details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
